Aggression/Reactivity Consultation

Initial 2-hour consultation followed by at least a one hour follow up consultation.

aggressive dogReactive or aggressive dogs towards other dogs or people can be the most difficult and distressing problem for an owner to cope with. Aggression can be displayed inside and outside of the home. Visitors may think twice about coming and it can make walking your dog a chore instead of a joy. As a result, walks can become less frequent or worse still non-existent and friends decline to visit. Owners then start to become nervous of their dog's unpredictable behaviour, sound familiar?

Ali helps you and your dog find ways to overcome and ease this common problem by helping you understand how dogs learn and why they respond in the way they do. Ali's aim is to show you and your dog how to cope with these situations, so that your guests return and walking your dog becomes enjoyable again.

As aggression can be a complex behaviour, it important that Ali returns with a follow up visit/s to view your dog’s progress.

Re-Homed Dog Consultation

2-hour consultation

rescued dogWhen you welcome a new dog to your home and they begin to present behavioural issues it can be difficult to understand the reasons behind this. In this consultation Ali addresses these behaviours and helps you to understand why dogs do what they do. It is incredibly important not to overcompensate for the dog’s history as this often inadvertently reinforces the undesirable behaviour so that it becomes more ingrained and sometimes new problems can be created.
